Having just celebrated my 39th birthday, the realisation that I would be 40 in less than a year suddenly hit me. I know most people would know this chronological progression happens, but I hadn't comprehended just how close to the big 40 milestone I was until now!
So, as someone who procrastinates their way through life, I thought I'd attempt to change my naturally inherent laziness, and set out some goals to achieve.

Or, in reality, spend more time on the internet making lists of goals and finding pretty shoes... I do own a lot of shoes - years ago my Dad nicknamed me Imelda, and it's stuck. Now is my time to shake off the attachment to footwear and spend my time, and money, doing more worthwhile pursuits.
Can I manage to complete 40 things by the time my 40th birthday gets here?
